Eric Wright

Eric Wright is the Head of Certification at Archer, an aerospace company focused on developing all-electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. He has held this position since May 2020 and is based in Palo Alto, California. In his role, Wright leads all certification activities for Archer's aircraft, collaborating with regulatory authorities such as the FAA and foreign Civil Aviation Authorities (CAAs) to establish certification standards. His responsibilities include drafting compliance documents, educating regulatory bodies on eVTOL technologies, and overseeing the development of manufacturing production certificates.134

Wright has a robust background in aerospace certification, having previously served as the Senior Director of Certification and Compliance at Piper Aircraft from 2011 to 2020, where he was instrumental in certifying the M600 Emergency Autoland system. He holds a Master of Science in Engineering and Technology Management from Oklahoma State University and has extensive experience in engineering and compliance within the aviation sector.12
