Eric Vessels

Eric Vessels is a prominent figure in the printing industry, recognized for his leadership and contributions to the sector.23 He served as President and CEO of WhatTheyThink for nearly 23 years, during which he helped the platform become a key source for industry insights and analysis.2 In this role, Vessels oversaw the organization’s strategic growth and guided it through the digital transformation of the print industry.2

More recently, Eric Vessels joined Taktiful Software Solutions as Chief Experience Officer (CXO).3 In this position, he is responsible for improving customer and partner experiences and heads Taktiful’s training division.23

In August 2024, WhatTheyThink reported a leadership change that included the departure of Eric Vessels as President of the combined organization after APTech and WhatTheyThink were combined under the WhatTheyThink brand.1 Thayer Long, WhatTheyThink’s CEO, acknowledged Vessels' long service and contributions to the company.1 Vessels noted that his departure was not by choice, as WhatTheyThink had been sold to APTech.4
