Streamlined auditing and oversight practices and formed weekly instructor meetings for a team of 18 personnel assigned to prepare a continuously deployed 350-person squadron, reducing discrepancies and rework.  Manage over 30 safety and competency qualifications for 28 highly qualified P-3C pilots in one of the Navy’s most selective squadrons.  Subsequently selected for promotion to Lieutenant Commander and earned the Navy Commendation Medal. 

Selected for the Navy's Fleet Scholars Education Program: one of seven officers chosen from all of Naval Aviation for highly selective masters degree program.

Standardization Pilot / Weapons and Tactics Instructor

Led a team of 34 positional experts in refining existing tactics and creating new techniques and procedures to incorporate new P-3C/P-8A technologies and overcome expanding operational challenges.  Overhauled the training curriculum for over 185 instructors, and implemented training protocol for over 3500 aircrew.  Developed a comprehensive FY '15 training schedule to offset reductions in manning and funding and ensure critical training for 13 US Navy aviation squadrons.

Assistant Fleet Training Department Head

Lead a team of over 20 Instructors across three Patrol and Reconnaissance Wings to Instruct and Qualify future Fleet Instructors while ensuring standard practices are in place across all P-3C Squadrons in the Fleet.  Implement and instruct fleet pilots on new technologies, procedures, and practices.  Advise squadron Commanding Officers and Wing Commodores on pilot trends and areas for improvement.  Manage a travel budget of over $2.6 million

Fleet Instructor Under Training Pilot Lead

Provided initial operational flight training for over 375 newly winged Naval Aviators in the P-3C Orion. •	Led a team of 13, managed an $87.5M budget for upgrades to four $50M simulators and the installation of 4 portable tactical trainers, and coordinated a $115,000 travel budget and the travel of 4 personnel across 4 continents.

FRS Instructor Pilot / Fleet Projects Division Officer

Maintained the training qualifications and conducted flight proficiency/safety examinations for 36 pilots.  Oversaw the planning and preparation of a squadron-wide annual evaluation, resulting in the grade of "Fleet Model", the highest attainable.

Squadron Standardization Pilot

Commanded an 11-person aircrew on a $40M P-3C aircraft and achieved excellent mission performance ratings for over 150 missions, resulting in 1 Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal and 2 Air Medals during combat operations.  Supervised operations planning/execution and managed flight budget of over $9.5M; brokered aviation assets daily to maintain qualifications for 36 pilots; earned Humanitarian Service Medal for providing aid after the Haiti earthquake.  Formulated plan and worked with Fleet leadership to increase patrol-aircraft anti-piracy coverage by 15% and “on-station” time by 50% after personally providing aerial intelligence during Captain Phillips and Maersk Alabama rescue.
