Eric Hysen

Eric Hysen is the Chief Information Officer at DHSgov, with a strong background in technology, government service, and product management.

He studied Computer Science at Harvard University and has worked with various prestigious organizations including Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, The White House, Google, and Obama for America.

Eric served as the Director of the Justice & Opportunity Initiative at Chan Zuckerberg Initiative and as the Executive Director of DHS Digital Service at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

He was also a founding member and Product Manager at the U.S. Digital Service at The White House, where he contributed to digital innovation in government.

Prior to his government roles, Eric was involved with Google as a Product & Program Lead for Politics & Elections and as a Software Engineering Intern.

Furthermore, he gained experience as an Organizing Fellow at Obama for America and as a Web Developer at the Harvard University Institute of Politics.

His diverse experiences in technology, government, product management, and politics have shaped his expertise and leadership as a CIO at DHSgov and his contributions to various impactful initiatives.
