Eric Harrison
President & CEO
Eric Harrison is the President and CEO of the United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut, a role he has held for over two years. Under his leadership, the organization has focused on strategic growth and community impact, emphasizing revenue diversification, brand loyalty, and innovative partnerships. His efforts have been recognized with a selection as one of the Hartford Business Journal's 2024 C-Suite Award Honorees, which honors top executives for their contributions to organizational growth and community involvement.13
Harrison's career in the nonprofit sector is extensive. Prior to his current position, he served as President and CEO of United Way of Ventura County and held various leadership roles within the United Way network, including positions in resource development at United Way Silicon Valley and United Way of the Wine Country. His earlier roles include Development Director for Equality California and Executive Director of Gay and Lesbian Elder Housing.125
He holds an MBA from the Minnesota School of Business and a BA in Speech Communications and Theatre Arts from Concordia College. Additionally, Harrison has completed several leadership development programs, including those at Harvard University.1 Recently, he was appointed Chair of the Connecticut United Ways Chief Professional Officers Council, where he collaborates with leaders from various local United Ways to drive positive community impact across Connecticut.24
