Eric Brattain

Eric Brattain is a tenure-track Professor of Math at SUNY New Paltz, with a background in applied mathematics and a Ph.D. from the University of California, Davis.

He has professional experience as a data science intern at Cloudera, a machine learning engineer at Butterfly Network, Inc., and as an assistant professor of mathematics at SUNY New Paltz.

Eric is known for organizing and directing the Davis Math Circle, an outreach program connecting students with graduate students and professors, fostering curiosity and passion for advanced mathematics.

His research interests lie in probability and mathematical physics, and he has received an award for his teaching excellence at UC Davis.
