Emrys Schoemaker is a researcher, strategist, and expert in the interaction between digital technologies and social, political and economic changes. With a PhD from the London School of Economics and a fellowship at Cornell Tech in NYC, he has an extensive background in analyzing the role of mobile, internet, and identification systems in contemporary society. Schoemaker has lived and worked in countries such as Nepal, Pakistan, and Jordan, and has advised several international organizations and NGOs. Prior to joining Caribou Digital, Schoemaker co-founded iMedia Associates, a media & communications company, and Ekatay, a software company for the development sector. He is experienced in conflict resolution, communications, and research, and runs workshops on these topics for a wide array of clients.
