Emma Leavy

Emma Leavy is an MBA Candidate at the University of California, Berkeley Haas School of Business with a specialization in early-stage investing and a background in management consulting, international development, and impact investing.

She began her career as a management consultant, addressing strategic challenges for technology companies in the US and Asia. Later, she transitioned into international development after obtaining a postgraduate degree in Peace & Conflict Studies as a R&A Ransome Scholar.

In her previous role as the Director of Grant Programs at Comic Relief, Emma oversaw a portfolio of $167 million in social impact investments and launched a $6 million innovation fund. Her areas of expertise encompass due diligence, financial modeling, CSR strategy, data analytics, risk management in emerging markets, and team leadership.

Throughout her MBA journey, Emma undertook internships at Gratitude Railroad, an impact VC firm, and ZX Ventures, the global investment and innovation arm of Anheuser Busch InBev.

Emma holds an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, a Masters of Letters in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of St. Andrews, a Bachelor of Science in Culture and Politics from Georgetown University, and has studied Arts, Celtic Studies, and Human Sciences at University College Dublin.
