Emma Bloomberg

Emma Bloomberg is the founder and CEO of Murmuration, a non-profit organization that provides data, tools, and research to support community organizers and advocates in their civic engagement efforts.123 She founded Murmuration in 2014 with the goal of amplifying the power of civic engagement to create healthier and more equitable communities.35

Prior to founding Murmuration, Emma Bloomberg served as the chief of staff at the Robin Hood Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to fighting poverty in New York City.15 She has also worked as a Senior Planning Officer at Robin Hood and as a Mayoral Program Coordinator for the City of New York.5

Emma Bloomberg holds a BA from Princeton University, an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.14 She serves on the boards of several organizations, including Bloomberg Philanthropies, KIPP Foundation, New Classrooms, and Leadership for Educational Equity.24 Additionally, she co-runs the Emma and Georgina Bloomberg Foundation with her sister, supporting education and animal rights causes.24
