Emma Benjamin

Emma Benjamin, a Punahou School graduate and alumna of Williams College, is an accomplished Public Defender at the Northwest Defenders Assn, where she serves the underprivileged and marginalised. Her unwavering commitment to social justice and legal advocacy began with an AmeriCorps Legal Advocate role, where she developed legal acumen partnering with the Honolulu Prosecutor’s Office. Emma went on to secure legal internships at the Contra Costa Public Defender, Hawaii Innocence Project, and the American Civil Liberties Union of Massachusetts, where she honed her skills in legal research, case management, and arguing in front of the courts. A graduate of Northeastern University School of Law, Emma has also served as a summer law clerk at the Capital Appeals Project. Emma's enthusiasm for defending the rights of those who are often ignored by mainstream society, coupled with her exceptional legal skills, have transformed her into a trusted and competent attorney.
