Emily Wharton

Emily Wharton is a Doctoral Candidate in Clinical Psychology at the PGSP-Stanford Psy.D. Consortium with expertise in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness & Meditation. She is fluent in Spanish and passionate about couples therapy, anxiety disorders, and PTSD.
Emily pursued her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology at the PGSP-Stanford PsyD Consortium after completing her Bachelor's Degree in Social Studies with a Secondary in Psychology and a Spanish Citation, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Harvard University. She started her academic journey at Mamaroneck High School.
Throughout her career, Emily has held various roles in prestigious organizations, including Psychology Extern at San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Psychology Practicum Student at Palo Alto Veterans Health Administration, and Study Therapist at Stanford Insomnia Pregnancy Lab. She has also served as a Therapeutic Behavioral Services Coach at Seneca Family of Agencies and a Mental Health Counselor at Room 13.
In addition to her clinical work, Emily has gained diverse experience, ranging from being a Former Decluttering Coach at Stanford University to a Former Research Assistant at the Richard McNally Research Lab on Grief and Trauma. She has showcased her skills in roles like Product Marketing Intern at athenahealth, Videographer and Editor at Project Chagas, and Student Programming Intern at Harvard Center for European Studies.
Emily's passion for helping others extends beyond her professional commitments, as evident from her active involvement as a Co-founder and Board Member at Kids For World Health and various leadership roles during her time at Harvard University and Mamaroneck High School.
