Emily Pilloton
Emily Pilloton is a celebrated designer, builder, author, and educator who has played a pivotal role in shaping the lives of thousands of young girls. She is the Founder and Executive Director of the nonprofit Girls Garage, which teaches girls to use power tools, weld, and build projects for their communities. Emily has presented her work and ideas on various platforms, including the TED stage, The Colbert Report, and the documentary film If You Build It. She has studied MFA in Architecture and Product Design at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and holds a BA in Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley. Emily has also been a lecturer at UC Berkeley College of Environmental Design and a visiting professor in the Department of Design at the University of California, Davis.
