Learned and developed a basic clone/redesign of the Summit Sotheby's Realty website using Vue.js.

Designed an app that allows users to login with Auth0, plan & save trips, and ask questions over a chat (a default response is sent to simulate the presence of an agent), including uploading pictures.

Developed several components to separate out functionality, including a chat component that connects to the backend and joins a socket.io room. Within the chat component, the user can upload images to send in the chat.

Designed a fully-responsive layout.

Created a backend server that logs in users with Auth0,  processes image uploads to AmazonS3, connects via socket.io with the chat components, sends database information to the front-end, and contacts an external airport code API to send information to the front-end.

Within a group of student developers, designed and developed front-end of a safety app that allows users to share their location and situation with friends, and receive and monitor their friend's locations.

Used React to create components viewed through different browser routes, and worked with the Google Maps API as well as geolocation methods to develop the location tracking and sharing functionality.

Assisted with programming backend logic and functionality for sending data to the front-end/Redux store and socket.io.

Integrated axios calls to backend server to load & update data from PostgresSQL database, including ticket data.

Custom-designed scss and GSAP  for a 3D-interactive view of theatre seats so that user can select & purchase tickets with Stripe.

Developed a fully-responsive, single-page web app that allows the user to search for national parks in & around UT.

Integrated Google Maps API in order to display parks and search for parks within a given time of a user-entered origin (uses Google API’s distance matrix).

Used Knockout.js observables to track inputs and change displays in real-time as user interacts with the web app.

Developed a Python program to automate the process of counting fluorescent cells.

Tested the cytotoxicity of several porphyrin-ring and AZT hybrid compounds (designed by Dr. Snyder of the Davidson College Chemistry Department) for relative cytotoxicity.

Tested the ability of porphyrin-ring AZT hybrid compounds, among others, for relative ability to inhibit the replication of reovirus in several non-human epithelial cell lines.

Honors Thesis Student

Designed several unique CRISPR/Cas9 sequences for a triple gene knock-out of M. musculus genes.

Created and used unique primers to genetically screen mice for gene knockout through PCR and through sequence analysis.

Lab Technician

Under the tutelage of Dr. Malcolm Campbell and in collaboration with Dr. Allan Brown, NCSU, researched genes involved in iron uptake and storage in broccoli (B. oleracea).

Produced a final term paper highlighting candidate genes that could affect iron accumulation.

Genomics Research (BIO 343 Research Lab)

Oversaw and nurtured a group of 11 campers for seven weeks as a live-in bunk “mother.”

Co-led rock climbing lessons, consisting of coaching children past their comfort zone and teaching proper safety and technique; co-led trips out of camp to various climbing locations.

Directed the ballet program, involving choreographing shows and teaching technique classes.
