Emily Dies

Emily Dies is an associate lawyer at Gowling WLG, specializing in business law with a focus on emerging growth companies, financial regulatory, and fintech.

With a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences (BASc) in Mathematics from McMaster University, Emily brings a unique perspective to her legal practice.

She is well-versed in advising clients in the cryptocurrency space on corporate and financial regulatory matters.

Emily is also recognized for her collaboration with legal and tech experts in developing and implementing innovative legal technologies.

Her achievements include receiving the Precedent Magazine Innovation Award in 2019 for her pioneering work in creating client tools.

Prior to her current role, Emily gained valuable experience as an Articling Student and Summer Law Student at Gowling WLG, offering her a comprehensive understanding of legal processes and practices.

She also contributed to the legal field through roles such as a Summer Law Student at Gowling WLG Canada and as an Undergraduate Researcher and Teaching Assistant in Mathematics and Statistics at McMaster University.
