    Emilio Pons is a tenor with an international career spanning over 20 countries across three continents.3 He is also an opera singer, artistic consultant, and pedagogue.1 Pons is the founder of the Sankt Goar International Music Festival and Academy in Germany in 2014, as well as the New York Vocal Arts Academy.1 Additionally, Pons is the co-founder of Oratrex.2

    Pons has performed at the Mariinsky Theater in Saint Petersburg, Russia, the Grand Théâtre de Genève and Theater St Gallen in Switzerland, the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence and Opéra de Metz in France, the Sankt Margarethen Opera Festival, the Salzburg State Theater and the WKO in Austria, Munich's Prinzregenten Theater, the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Düsseldorf, the Magravial Opera House in Bayreuth, and the theaters of Augsburg, Bielefeld, Braunschweig, Coburg, Freiburg, Heidelberg, Magdeburg, Regensburg and Wuppertal in Germany, Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, De Doelen’s Concert Hall, and the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht, in the Netherlands, the Royal Opera, Copenhagen, Denmark, the Vlaamse Opera, Ghent & Antwerp, Belgium, Grand Théâtre de Luxembourg, the Nordnorsk Opera in Norway, Vilnius City Opera, in Lithuania, Opera Siam in Bangkok, Thailand, in Singapore with the National Symphony Orchestra, as well as Compañía Nacional de Ópera de Bellas Artes, Mexico City, Teatro Julio Mayor in Bogota, Colombia, Teatro Municipal de Santiago, in Chile and Theatro Municipal of Rio de Janeiro, and New York’s Carnegie Hall, in the USA.1

    Pons holds four graduate degrees, including a Doctor of Music degree from the Indiana University School of Music, an artist diploma in piano from the National Conservatory of Music in Mexico City, and a degree as attorney-at-law from Universidad Iberoamericana.1 He is fluent in English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, and Russian.1

    Pons' repertoire includes roles in operas such as Richard III, Fidelio, Candide, Carmen, Billy Budd, Curlew River, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Peter Grimes, The Turn of the Screw, Giasone, and Pelléas et Melissande.1

    In March 2019, Emilio Pons performed as Scaramuccio in Ariadne auf Naxos at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris.34
