Emilia Duarte

Prof. Emília Duarte is an accomplished Associate Professor at IADE, Universidade Europeia, Lisbon, Portugal, specializing in Ergonomics within design courses at both undergraduate and master's levels.

With a Ph.D. in Ergonomics from Faculdade de Motricidade Humana, Universidade of Lisboa, Portugal, earned in 2011, Prof. Duarte brings a wealth of academic expertise to her role as the PhD in Design course director and coordinator of the UNIDCOM/IADE, IADE's prominent R&D unit.

Her educational background includes a Master's degree in Ergonomics in Safety and Health, as well as a degree in industrial design from IADE - Superior School of Design, Lisbon, Portugal, demonstrating her commitment to a multidisciplinary approach in her research endeavors.

Prof. Duarte's research primarily revolves around various design aspects such as warnings, pictorials, virtual reality, emotional design, and User Experience, showcasing her versatile interests and contributions to the field.
