Emil Ponnert is an accomplished professional with a multifaceted background in economics, marketing, and business. He is a graduate of the prestigious Stockholm School of Economics where he obtained a Master of Science in Economics, Marketing, and Business. He also has a degree in Business Law from Lund University, and has studied Economics and English at the University of California, Berkeley, and studied at Wu (Vienna University of Economics and Business).

Ponnert has held various positions with different organizations, including Projects and S and P at Copenhagen Marine Capacity, Non-Executive Director at Etaility Ab, Shipbroker, and Maritime Consultant at Inge Steensland Shipbrokers As, as well as strategic buyer at Sony Mobile Communications, and Junior Consultant at Arthur D. Little. He was also a management consultant at Greenwich Consulting and Northstream.

Ponnert's experience has also led him to co-found Scandiweb, where he served as the Managing Director. He has an excellent track record in the field of business strategy, management consulting, and has excellent negotiation and communication skills.
