Elwood Robinson

Dr. Elwood L. Robinson is the 13th Chancellor at Winston-Salem State University, with an extensive background in academia and research.

He previously served as the Provost and Vice-President of Academic Affairs at Cambridge College and was the founding Dean of the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences at North Carolina Central University.

Dr. Robinson's academia encompasses overseeing multiple departments, centers, faculty, and supporting staff, catering to a significant student body and managing substantial budgets.

As a productive scholar, he has numerous scientific publications and has received acclaim for his literary works, including winning the 2003 NAACP Image Award.

His research focuses on the psychosocial and behavioral aspects of disease and illness in African Americans, with a global reach through presentations in various countries.
