Elly Pepper

Elly Pepper is a wildlife advocate who primarily focuses on protecting threatened and endangered species and their habitats. She is well-known for her work in enacting federal and state regulations and laws, strengthening international protections for wildlife, and revising foreign countries' laws to make them more protective. Pepper is a graduate of the Emerging Wildlife Conservation Leaders fellowship program and holds a B.A. from Bowdoin College and a J.D. from the University of Richmond Law School. She currently works as the Deputy Director of International Wildlife Conservation at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) and has previously served as a Wildlife Advocate and Consultant at NRDC and Environmental Defense Fund, respectively.
