Ellie Wainwright

Ellie Wainwright is a versatile freelance Photographer, Writer & Filmmaker based between London and South Wales. With a First Class BA Honors Degree in Marine and Natural History photography from Falmouth University, Ellie's work showcases a documentary style capturing creative portraits, environmental issues and narratives above and below the waves. Passionate about conservation and social issues, she uses her images and words to raise awareness. Ellie's global photography work has been recognized and sold worldwide, collaborating with various prestigious clients and organizations.

Ellie is currently pursuing an MA in Documentary Filmmaking at the University of the Arts London, where she delves into the origins and ethics of the practice, aiming to shed light on underreported stories worldwide. Prior to her current endeavours, Ellie has held roles ranging from Front Desk Receptionist at Plimsoll to being a Freelance Photographer & Filmmaker under her own brand. Her diverse experience includes working as a Camera Assistant at Mother Goose Films, contributing to notable publications like Surfgirl Mag, Buzz Magazine, and more, and volunteering with organizations such as the Maldives Whale Shark Research Programme and Oxfam.
