Ellen Willems

Ellen Willems made a career shift in April 2019, finding joy in the sports sector at Watersportverbond. She takes pride in the organization's dedication to its associations, youth engagement in watersports, and making the Netherlands a leading sailing nation. After six years as a freelancer, she transitioned from being a co-culture maker to a beloved culture enthusiast.

Ellen's academic background includes studying VWO at College de Heemlanden and pursuing a degree in Theater Management at Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht.

Throughout her professional journey, Ellen held various roles such as Support Employee at Watersportverbond, Founder/Owner at CreatiefSupport, and Executive Producer/Head of Production in esteemed venues like Wilminktheater en Muziekcentrum Enschede. She also managed productions at Theaterhotel Almelo, Poppodium Metropool te Hengelo, and engaged in multiple roles at Janke Dekker Producties, Gemeente Almelo, and other cultural organizations.
