Ellen Lupton is a versatile professional with a background in design, writing, and curation.
She holds a BFA in Design and Art from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, where she also pursued her interest in curating.
Ellen further honed her writing skills through studies in Fiction Writing at Johns Hopkins University.
Her career spans across various prestigious institutions, where she has made significant contributions. Ellen Lupton has served as the Curator of Contemporary Design at the Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum.
Additionally, she has held leadership positions as the Director of the Graphic Design MFA Program at both the Maryland Institute College of Art and MICA.
She has also shared her expertise as a former Curator at the Herb Lubalin Study Center of Design and Typography and the Herb Lubalin Study Center at The Cooper Union.
