Ellen Johnck is a seasoned leader in the maritime industry. For the past several decades, she has worked tirelessly to develop and implement strategies that promote public-private sector collaborations to improve environmental and economic health in the areas of air and water quality, flood protection, fish and wildlife habitat restoration, and climate change. Ellen's experience and expertise in environmental and cultural resources planning, permitting, and management have made her a go-to consultant for local, state, and federal agencies. She founded the Bay Planning Coalition in 1983 and served as its executive director for almost three decades, securing over $500M in infrastructure projects supporting trade and commerce linked to environmental improvements. Ellen holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Cultural Resources Management from Sonoma State University, a certificate in City, Regional, and Environmental Planning from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science from Elmira College.
