Ellen Chisa

Ellen Chisa is a Partner at boldstart ventures, where she serves as a Founder-in-Residence. She joined the firm in January 2021 after founding Dark, a programming language company. Chisa is passionate about investing in and supporting founders who are building pre-product, developer-focused, enterprise companies.

Her professional background includes various early-stage product roles at notable companies such as Lola, Kickstarter, and Microsoft, where she contributed to projects that enabled creative work through technology. Chisa holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering. Originally from Rochester Hills, MI, she currently resides in Somerville, MA with her husband and cat, Gutenberg.123
