    Recognized by the Harvard Law & Political Economy Emerging Scholars Program for her efforts in combating systemic racism through innovative economic structures such as cooperatives.

    Currently, Elizabeth leads an inclusive redevelopment project in a historically disinvested community in Chicago while co-founding a membership-owned holding cooperative to assist Black women entrepreneurs with various business services.

    Her past roles include providing legal representation to property owners, small businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies in community economic development initiatives.

    Elizabeth served as Special Counsel at the City of Newark, managing an affordable housing cooperative project, and authored amended tax abatement ordinance to incentivize inclusionary development by women, racial minorities, and cooperatives.

    Education: J.D. in Redevelopment, Community Development, Landlord-Tenant, Business from Rutgers Law School; M.C.R.P. in Urban and Community Development from Rutgers University; B.A. with Honors in African-American/Black Studies, Political Science, Philosophy from the University of Michigan.
