Elissa Levy

Elissa Levy is a dedicated educator with a passion for teaching teens critical thinking and collaboration skills. Her focus is on fostering the next generation of global citizens who can collect and analyze data to drive positive change for a more just world.

Before transitioning to teaching, Elissa spent 8 years in research and senior program management roles within the financial sector, honing her analytical and leadership skills.

Her educational background includes a BS in Physics from Yale University, a Master of Science for Teachers with a concentration in Physics from Pace University, and a high school diploma from Paramus High School.

Elissa has held various roles in prominent organizations like Fairfax County Public Schools, Math for America, Upperline Code, Rising Academy Network, NYC Department of Education, Bridgewater Associates, and D. E. Shaw & Co., where she contributed significantly to education, curriculum design, and program management.

She is actively involved in initiatives like the Decolonizing Physics Group, STEMteachersNYC Equity Lab, and the Quantum Computing Working Group, collaborating with educators and professionals nationwide to drive innovation and inclusivity in STEM education.
