Elisabeth Waechter

Elisabeth Waechter is a seasoned professional with a strong background in public information and outreach, currently serving as the Chief of Public Information for the Comprehensive Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO). Prior to this role, she held positions such as Chief of Visitors' Services at the United Nations and Media Officer at the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in Nairobi.

With a Bachelor's degree in Russian Studies from the University of London and a Master's degree in Communications from the University of Leicester, Elisabeth has a solid academic foundation. She is multilingual, proficient in German, English, Russian, French, and Ukrainian, with a working knowledge of Arabic.
