Elisabeth (Yoshi) Makishima
Elisabeth Makishima is a talented teacher, animator, filmmaker, and writer with a diverse background in education and creative industries. She excels at visual storytelling, using her expertise in film, animation, and photography to bring unique visions to life. Makishima studied English and Film at Smith College, graduating Cum Laude, and holds a High School Diploma from Milton Academy, where she currently teaches Middle School Speech and Performing Arts. Alongside her teaching experience, Makishima has held positions as a Videographer, animator, and editor at Freelance Video & Animation, Visuals Editor for YARN Magazine, Digital Video and Photography Summer School Teacher at Belmont Hill School, and Sales Associate at Paper Source. She has also interned at Boston Digital Productions and Smith College's Theatre. In addition to her professional experience, Makishima is an active writer with a personal blog and published works on YARN Magazine. Her skills in communication and development have also made her a former Communications and Development Assistant at Milton Academy.
