Elisa Beard

Elisa Beard, a dedicated professional, embarked on her Teach For America journey in 1998 as a corps member in Phoenix and later transitioned to various leadership roles within the organization.

With a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from DePauw University, Elisa has made significant contributions to the field of education, serving as the CEO of Teach For America and playing a key role in expanding the organization's reach and impact.

As the CEO of Teach For America, Elisa oversees a vast network of 64,000 leaders striving to ensure that all children have access to quality education and the opportunity to fulfill their potential.

In addition to her role at Teach For America, Elisa actively participates in the educational sector by serving on the boards of the Holdsworth Center and Leadership for Educational Equity, showcasing her commitment to improving education at various levels.

Elisa currently resides in Houston with her husband and four sons, balancing her professional achievements with her personal life.
