He holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering and excels in various domains like business process modeling, transportation optimization, and demographic microsimulation.

Elias Willemse has worked on a wide range of projects beyond waste management, including bulk materials handling, resource planning, and human-activity extraction using wearable sensors. He has mastered a plethora of data science techniques like optimization modeling, simulation modeling, statistical modeling, time-series analysis, and machine learning.
