Eleanor Glockner

Eleanor Glockner is a device engineer at OpticLine, a company that developed a low-cost in-line device for early detection of peritonitis in peritoneal dialysis patients.12 She previously worked as a product engineer at Foldscope Instruments, Inc. Glockner has been involved in research and development of medical devices, particularly focusing on innovations in dialysis. She presented her work on OpticLine at the Innovations in Dialysis: Expediting Advances Symposium (IDEAS).2 The OpticLine device uses microscopy and image analysis technology to detect peritonitis before patients notice symptoms, potentially improving outcomes for peritoneal dialysis patients.13
