Eleanor Bennett is an accomplished journalist known for her work as a host, reporter, and producer at Aspen Public Radio (APR). She served as the local host of NPR’s Morning Edition for nearly four years, where she provided local, state, and national news coverage from 7-9 a.m. on weekdays. During her tenure, she garnered multiple awards from organizations such as the Radio Television Digital News Association and the Society for Professional Journalists, including three consecutive “Best Feature” awards from the Colorado Broadcaster’s Association.12
Bennett was born and raised in Aspen, giving her a deep connection to the community she serves. This role involves focusing on social justice issues within the community, including affordable housing and mental health access.
