Elana Jacobs

Elana Jacobs (she/her) is the Vice President of Product and Design at Kickstarter, a position she has held since September 27, 2021.1 With extensive experience in product development and design strategies, Elana previously served in the same role at Crisis Text Line.1

In her current role at Kickstarter, Elana is responsible for overseeing the product roadmap and enhancing user experiences for both creators and backers.3 She actively participates in the Community Advisory Council meetings, where she discusses product developments and gathers feedback to improve Kickstarter's services.3

Elana's professional background includes:

1. A B.A. in Psychology from Princeton University
2. Various leadership positions at Flatiron School, including Director of Operations and Program Project Manager
3. Roles at Columbia University, ProWorld, and Uncommon Schools, where she developed skills in operations, growth, and project management

Beyond her corporate roles, Elana is also an artist and cofounder of CabinFever, a performance company that creates site-specific, multi-media works.2 She has a background in dance, film, and body work, and has been featured in several artistic residencies and performances.2
