Elaine Low

Elaine Low is a senior reporter for Variety, specializing in covering the business of television with a keen focus on media strategy, executive leadership, evolving platforms, and business models. Her work includes cover stories on prominent topics like Netflix's global programming strategy, fashion-e-commerce series by Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn at Amazon Studios, and Hollywood's efforts towards diversity post the Black Lives Matter protests.

Before her current role, Elaine spent nearly five years as a reporter and producer at Investor's Business Daily, where she covered retail, media, and personal finance. Her cover stories for IBD Weekly delved into subjects such as the gender wealth gap, self-care industry, and e-commerce retail competition.
