Elaine Chen is a highly qualified civil engineer, with experience in roadway and transportation engineering. She completed her high school diploma at the prestigious Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, where she gained a strong foundation in maths and sciences. Chen later attended the University of Virginia, where she obtained a degree in civil engineering. As an undergraduate, she worked as a research assistant and grader/teaching assistant at the university.
After completing her degree, Chen worked as a transportation intern at Gorove/Slade Associates and Rinker Design Associates before moving on to become a project engineer at Timmons Group. She currently works as a roadway engineer at Kimley-Horn, where she manages various projects related to transportation infrastructure.
In addition to her professional experience, Chen has also studied at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Her expertise lies in roadway design, transportation infrastructure management, and project management, making her a highly skilled and qualified engineer.
