Elaine Carey is a highly accomplished academic and author specializing in women's and gender history, with a focus on Latin America and Ireland. Dr. Carey earned her Ph.D. in History from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and has held numerous prestigious academic positions, including Dean of the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences at Purdue University Northwest.
