Ekram El-Huni
Regional Programme Coordinator at UN Women
Ekram Elhuni is a polyglot and cross-disciplinary professional with a multi-national, multi-cultural, and multi-lingual background, being a Libyan American raised in Europe and having worked in various Arab and African countries for 19 years.
With nearly 15 years of experience, Ekram has primarily worked with the UN World Food Programme (WFP) in diverse roles spanning operations, logistics, programme management, ICT, donor relations, communications, and reporting.
Ekram has held positions at the headquarters, regional bureau, and country office levels, both in regular activities and emergency situations, allowing him to build extensive networks across UN agencies, donors, and partner NGOs.
Since September 2018, Ekram has been the Regional Programme Coordinator at UN Women in Amman, Jordan, overseeing the Strengthening the Resilience of Syrian Women and Girls and Host Communities in Iraq, Jordan, and Turkey program.
