Ekaterina Starostina

Ekaterina Starostina is a highly accomplished professional with a background in cybersecurity and information protection. Graduating with honors in the field of 'Legal Foundations of Information Protection' from the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, she specialized in combating cybercrimes, specifically focusing on the organizational and legal aspects of countering cyber terrorism.

Ekaterina has authored the book 'Protection against Computer Crimes and Cyber Terrorism: Questions and Answers,' published by EKSMO, along with over fifty articles and publications in the field. Currently pursuing a candidate degree in legal sciences at the 'Computer Law' department at MEPhI. She has been an active member of INFOFORUM since 2008.

With a wealth of experience in implementing measures to protect confidential information, Ekaterina has spent the last three years involved in business development in the fields of Information Security (IS) and Information Technology (IT) within an international company.

In recognition of her contributions to information security, Ekaterina received the Security Awards-2013 as 'Woman in Information Security'. Her expertise extends to teaching courses on 'Computer Information Violations' and 'Safe Internet for Children'. Furthermore, in 2016, she became a Development Partner for Coddy, a rapidly growing children's programming school catering to ages 5-14.

Ekaterina is an essential part of various professional communities, including RISSPA, RISC (professional communities in Information Security), and has been serving as the Marketing/Communications Director for ISACA since 2017.

Her diverse professional experience includes roles such as Director of Partner Development at Cloud Networks, Architect of the Information Security (IS) and System Administration department at IT Hub, Director of Development at Webmonitorex, Director of Business Development at Company 'Orlan', and various educational and consultancy positions at reputable organizations like FinCERT, Bank of Russia, and PwC Russia.

Ekaterina's career journey also includes stints in leadership positions at MTS, NBKI, RTK, Aisys, Guta Group, and Andex, covering areas such as cybersecurity, legal expertise, risk management, and business development.
