Daniel Laguardia is a partner at Shearman and Sterling, where he represents corporate clients and financial institutions in commercial disputes, high-exposure transactions, internal investigations, and regulatory matters. He has advised a range of clients, from publicly owned restaurant chains and biotechnology companies to private equity funds and U.K. banks. Laguardia holds a Juris Doctor degree from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor's Degree in Public Policy from the University of Chicago. Before working at Shearman and Sterling, he served as an associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP and a clerk at the U.S. Court of Appeals and U.S. District Court. Laguardia has also taught for Teach For America. In his free time, Laguardia enjoys staying active and exploring new restaurants.
