Runa Maitra is a seasoned HR and OD professional with over two decades of experience in the Fintech, IT/ITES, Professional Services, manufacturing, and retail sectors in India, the US, and the UK. She is the founder and director of People Talent International, a consortium of business consultants from multi-domains, and has partnered with multiple entrepreneurs as a business and HR consultant. Prior to her business role, she worked as Country Director HR of Clifford Chance, Center Head HR of Convergys, Head HR in Dalmia Group, Aptara, Escorts Finance Ltd.

Runa has been recognized for her contributions to the field, having won several awards, including Top 100 Innovation HR leader by World HRD Congress in 2017 and 2018 and Top 30 HR influencer in 2018 by SHRM India. She is a renowned keynote speaker in both corporate and academia and has conducted behavioral training for multiple industries. Her Organization Development, transformation project, and learning intervention include facilitation of leadership development programs, Masterclass on Design Thinking, Virtual and blended learning facilitation, Team Intervention, Business Communication, Virtual Etiquette skill development, On-ground and Virtual Team Building programs, Diversity & Inclusion learning sessions.

Runa is associated with various start-ups and academia as a business consultant/advisor for product development, team development, and Market outreach support. She is a Fellow and Ph.D. program from the Academy of HRD, Ahmedabad, trained in Gemba Kaizen, Prince2, NLP, Thomas profiling, and various corporate training modules. She is in the core committee of NHRDN and Delhi NCR Chapter and leads the Social Media and Communication initiative for the HR community.

In her personal life, the evolution of corporate social responsibility in India inspired her to lead a NGO SDEAR on Education & Skilling, associated with Pure India Trust on Girl Child Education. She is a founder of a NGO WOS (women of substance) India, which supports Women Empowerment and recognizes Changemakers. As a jury member of the Ashoka Foundation, she selected social entrepreneurs for the nationwide Youth-venture program.
