Helen Whelton
Helen Whelton is an accomplished academic and researcher with a passion for dental public health, preventive dentistry, and health services research. She holds an MDPH and PhD from the University College Cork and has also studied at RCSI Faculty of Public Health Medicine in the UK. Helen has held numerous positions, including Chief Academic Officer for the South Southwest Hospital Group, Dean of Dentistry at University of Leeds, and President of the International Association for Dental Research. She has published extensively and lectured around the world.
Helen's leadership and team-building skills are highly regarded, and she is committed to promoting research and learning. She has received numerous grants and awards for her work, and her latest project, a €6M EU H2020 grant, focuses on using administrative patient data to shift services from treatment to health promotion.
