Sr. Manager, Merchandising & Marketing Execution

- Managed the cross-functional aspects of launching all national products and promotions for Burger King US’ 7000+ network of restaurants. This included coordinating market tests, performance analysis, calendar, merchandising, advertising, and operational training materials with the intent to flawlessly execute cross-country marketing initiatives, whilst taking into account unique store configurations.+ Responsible for the communication of new products and promotions both internal and to franchisees via webcasts and training materials, while managing our merchandising fulfillment and digital menu board vendors.+ Identified the need for and successfully put in place a merchandising contingency plan, which saved the company $1M+ in the first year (2016).+ Successfully transitioned merchandising fulfillment vendors, migrating the 7000+ unique store profiles, online portal, and franchise network, creating another $1M of savings annually and accelerating the production timeline by 1.5 weeks thereby allowing our marketing to be more timely and responsive to industry and societal pressures.

- Managed the marketing relationship with our 4 key franchise groups who held 1350+ restaurants collectively across 56 markets, ensuring we obtained buy-in on proposed national marketing activations, and led a team of 20 Field Marketing Managers ensuring consistent execution of both national and local campaigns.+ Developed custom marketing solutions and provided uniquely customised support for 400+ U.S. non-traditional Burger King restaurants including all airport, toll road, shopping mall, theme park, military base, and other captive-audience locations.+ Managed the BK Delivery marketing program. Proactively tracked performance, originated email campaigns, created and optimised coupons, secured packaging, determined menu offerings, and collaborated with vendors to maintain website.

- Field based; developed and managed local media plans, deploying $3.3M of self-secured franchise investment across 23 markets representing 600+ restaurants.+ Managed local merchandising, menu board, and other promotional programs for proper execution and alignment with the BK brand.+ Proactively performed market analysis, marketing plan development, and all aspects of market test execution, communicating findings to leadership.+ First of trainee class to be promoted to Manager, youngest of the 24 Field Marketing Managers and awarded Top 3 Field Marketing Manager.

Managed North America marketing finances totaling $300M+ in 14 advertising funds, including expense approvals, vendor setup, contract management, and routine reporting.

Assisted with the management of our local investment spending programs, which were active in 84 markets and held $26M in collective funds. Reviewed the local media plans and supported the 23 Field Marketing Managers acting as the link between the field and our national marketing team.
