Tim Young is an accomplished entrepreneur, executive, and investor with a strong focus on early-stage technology. One of Forbes' "10 Rising Stars at the World's Most Innovative Companies," Tim has a unique background that includes founding and successfully exiting both enterprise and consumer software startups. He founded Socialcast, an enterprise collaboration platform that was later acquired by VMware for over $100M, and co-founded About.me, which was acquired by AOL.
With valuable operational experience gained from his leadership roles, including SVP & GM, Products at Dropbox and VP of Product & Engineering at VMware, Tim now builds and invests in very early-stage technology projects, particularly those focused on enterprise apps and crypto-assets.
Apart from his work in technology, Tim has had an extensive education, having studied at the University of California, Riverside, and has served as an adjunct professor at UC Irvine. He also has experience in market analysis from his time at Rain Bird and has founded Propel Media Group/Event Robot.
