John Platte, an Indiana University Bloomington alumnus, has over fifteen years of experience in delivering expert domain modeling and maintainable architecture solutions in Rails codebases. Mr. Platte has a wide range of skills including JavaScript applications, test-driven development, and front-end and back-end web performance tuning. Mr. Platte has experience with various other software such as Java, PHP, HTML5, JRuby, shell scripts, system administration, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Ruby on Rails, Docker, Firebase, Varnish, and many other tools.

Mr. Platte began his career as a Web Developer at Taylor University before joining Harbor.com, Inc. as a Lead Designer. He later joined Mainstay Church Resources as a Software Developer before becoming a Principal Consultant at NIKA Consulting. Mr. Platte was also a Consultant at Site9 and the Institute in Basic Life Principles.

Mr. Platte has provided consulting services to large corporations such as Sears, NASA Langley Research Center, and Stark Investments, and has also provided his services to small businesses such as Small HQ and Churn Buster.

In his most recent positions, Mr. Platte served as a Senior Rails Engineer at UserTesting and as a Site Reliability Engineer at PulseApp.com. Currently, he is a Senior Software Engineer at Rosie.
