Erica Ness

Erica Ness is a community organizer in Kenosha, WI, actively advocating for reforms to achieve racial and economic justice, end police violence, and build progressive community power. She is a co-founder of LOK (Leaders of Kenosha) with a strong passion for the intersection of policy, social justice, and equity. Erica graduated from Marquette University with a BA in International Affairs, Political Science, and Spanish, further strengthening her dedication to public policy, civic engagement, and human rights.

Erica's educational background includes studies in Introduction to Documentary Filmmaking at Docs In Progress, Honors Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs, Political Science, and Spanish Language, Literature, & Culture from Marquette University, and non-degree seeking studies in Cultural Studies/Critical Theory and Analysis at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

She has held various roles in different organizations, such as Youth Development Educator (Outreach Specialist) at University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension, Latin Dance Instructor, Children’s Long-Term Support Specialist at IMPACT CHILD AND FAMILY THERAPIES INC, Director of Community Engagement at Leaders of Kenosha, and more. Erica's diverse experience includes positions like GOTV Director, Research Consultant, Associate in the Ultra-Poor Graduation Initiative, Paralegal, Field Organizer, Organizing Fellow, Communications Associate, Legislative Intern, Service Learning Coordinator, and Residence Hall Secretary.
