Dheera Venkatraman
Dheera Venkatraman is a highly accomplished physicist, electrical engineer, and robotics software engineer. He studied at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology, receiving a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, as well as a Master's degree and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering. Venkatraman is particularly interested in robotics, autonomous driving, computer vision, machine learning, quantum devices, optics, and human-computer interaction. He co-founded Robby Technologies, where he served as CTO and helped develop and launch the company's autonomous delivery robot systems. Currently, he works as a Robotics Software Engineer and Architect at Freedom Robotics, a startup focused on developing next-generation robotics management software.
Venkatraman has a wealth of experience working in various roles at MIT organizations, including as a Founding Team Member, Board Member and Technology Director at the MIT-China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (MIT-CHIEF) and the Technology/Marketing Director at the MIT Sustainability Summit. In his spare time, Venkatraman volunteers as a Tzu Ching Officer at the Tzu Chi Foundation and served on the Ashdown House Executive Committee at MIT.
With strong skills in coding, startup development, and robotics engineering, Venkatraman is a recognized leader in the field of robotics and automation, making major contributions to the development of autonomous systems for various applications.
