Edwin Oei
Associate Professor of Musculoskeletal Imaging
Edwin Oei is an accomplished professional with a diverse educational background. He holds an MSc in Clinical Epidemiology from The Netherlands Institute for Health Sciences (NIHES) in Rotterdam. Additionally, he has completed a Summer Session for Public Health Studies at Harvard School of Public Health. Edwin also obtained a BSc in Medicine from the University of Antwerp, a PhD in Medicine, and an MD in Medicine from Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam.
With a wealth of experience, Edwin Oei has held various prestigious positions in organizations. He currently serves as the Associate Professor of Musculoskeletal Imaging at Erasmus MC. In the past, he was the Associate Editor at Quantitative Imaging in Medicine and Surgery, the Rotterdam Knowledge Ambassador at Rotterdam Partners, and an Executive Board Member at the European Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine and Biology (ESMRMB). Furthermore, he has held roles such as Section Chief of Musculoskeletal Radiology at the Department of Radiology & Nuclear Medicine at Erasmus MC, Board Member of the Musculoskeletal Section at Nederlandse Vereniging voor Radiologie (NVvR), and Principal Investigator of Advanced Musculoskeletal Imaging Research Erasmus MC Rotterdam (ADMIRE) at Erasmus MC. Edwin has also contributed as a Consultant radiologist, Member of the Annual Meeting Program Committee at ISMRM, Visiting Assistant Professor at Stanford University, and Assistant Professor of Musculoskeletal Imaging at Erasmus MC. He has also served as an Editorial Board Member at Quantitative Imaging in Medicine and Surgery and began his career as a Resident in Radiology at Erasmus MC.
