Edwin Huertas, MBA

Edwin Huertas, MBA, is a Community Builder, Data Analyzer, and Social & Economic Justice Champion focused on bridging gaps between entities through collaborative discussions to address societal issues and promote inclusivity, tolerance, and justice.

With a Master of Business Administration from Marquette University and various certificates in Proposal Writing and Volunteer Management from Rollins College, Edwin also holds a Bachelor of Science in Community Education and Community-Based Organizations Policy & Leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Edwin's professional journey includes roles such as Fellow at Latino Leadership Alliance, Open Government Manager at City of San José, and Equal Rights Specialist at City of Milwaukee. He has also served as Deputy Director in Governor Evers' Milwaukee Office at the State of Wisconsin and held positions at various other esteemed organizations focusing on community development, literacy services, and volunteer coordination.

Additionally, Edwin has been involved with the New Leaders Council as an Institute Fellow, Board Member, Diversity Chair, and Co-Director. His diverse experience ranges from being a Trinity Fellow at Marquette University to an Innovation Intern at The Commons, showcasing his versatile skill set and commitment to social impact.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Edwin has contributed to roles outside the traditional spectrum, including being a Trivia Game Host at Sporcle, Inc., a Seasonal Adult Education Instructor at Milwaukee Public Schools, and a Sponsor-A-Scholar Collegian Coordinator at the YMCA of Metropolitan Milwaukee. His passion for education and community building is further demonstrated through his involvement as a Public Ally and Volunteer Coordinator at Public Allies and his dedication to fostering young talent as a Camp Counselor and Academic Tutor at various educational institutions.

Formerly holding roles at Walt Disney World and UWM TRIO and Pre-College / Mini-Course Program, Edwin's journey reflects a dedication to social impact, education, and community service, making him a well-rounded professional with a deep commitment to advancing societal progress.
