Edward Woodford

Edward Woodford is the Co-Founder and CEO of Zero Hash, a leading crypto-as-a-service platform based in the Greater Chicago Area. He has held this position since September 2017 and has been instrumental in the company's growth, which has included securing over $170 million in funding from prominent investors such as Bain Capital Ventures and Point72 Ventures. Under his leadership, Zero Hash has settled over $11 billion in transaction volume and serves a diverse range of clients, including neo-banks and broker-dealers.23

Woodford's career in fintech began with the co-founding of Seed CX, a derivatives execution venue that was acquired by Dough, Inc. in 2017. He also co-founded How App, a European-based fintech company, and has held various roles in financial analysis and research at organizations such as Lansdowne Partners and the University of Warwick.13

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from the University of Warwick and a Master's degree in Finance from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). His academic achievements include being awarded the Dean's MFin Fellowship at MIT and being named in Forbes' 30 Under 30 list in 2018.134

Recently, Woodford was recognized by Goldman Sachs as one of the Most Exceptional Entrepreneurs of 2023 at their Builders and Innovators Summit, highlighting his impact and innovation in the fintech space.2
