Edward Stern

Edward Stern is a multifaceted professional with expertise in nursing, public radio hosting, podcasting, leadership, education, and marketing. He holds a Master's degree from Walden University, a Bachelor's degree from Chamberlain College of Nursing, and Associate degrees from Davenport University and Marymount University.
As a nurse, Stern has held various positions, including Clinical Educator at Fairfax County Fire Dept, Informatics Nurse Manager at The GW Medical Faculty Associates, and Behavior Health Staff Nurse III at Virginia Hospital Center. He has also served as a trauma nurse specialist at Inova Fairfax Hospital, nurse 2 & informatics educator at Potomac Hospital, and PRN staff nurse at FlexRN.
Stern has a passion for media and has been a volunteer public radio talk show host at INSIDE OUT LGBT RADIO WPFW. He is also a skilled podcaster and has produced various radio and podcast works. Stern has experience in marketing and communications, having served as the director of consumer marketing at CareerBuilder.com, director of marketing and communications at Epoch Internet, and senior associate at the American Red Cross.
Stern's leadership experience includes serving as the local chapter president of the Emergency Nurses Association and as a Board Member on the Board of Directors at CARING, International Nursing Informatics. He has also worked as a strategic group lead in emergency and cardiovascular medicine at the Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology and as a clinical operations manager of surgical specialties at Kaiser Permanente.
As an educator, Stern has served as an adjunct faculty lab instructor at Marymount University, an adjunct faculty at Northern Virginia Community College, and a trainer at the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department.
